August Represents the End of the Summer

August represents the end of the summer. Children go back to school, vacations come to an end and the regular routines are back in place. Warm weather in Maryland gives way to the cool temperatures of Fall. I believe just as the seasons change because of the earth tilting away from the Sun, God is requiring us to adapt to the changing seasons in our lives.

August Represents the End of the Summer image

Life is movement through the various seasons God is taking us through. Learning what God is doing is how we thrive in all seasons. I want to encourage you to make the most of whatever season you are in. Each season has certain advantages and challenges. Learn to enjoy the advantages as well as from the challenges.

At this season in my life, I am learning to live with changes. The pandemic and many other things have altered life as we have known it. This is a time to take on these changes and see how God is bringing us into a season where He can bless us in new ways. This is a season of new beginnings. Where we currently are is the place God intended us to be. Look forward to a change in seasons. God has special things for you at this time in your life.

Let Real Freedom Reign

July is the month where our country celebrates freedom from the oppression and bondage of the mother country England. It is when the founders of this country decided to assert their right to self-determination. Freedom is one of the core principals our country is based upon. While we celebrate the birth of this nation and the courageous actions of the founding fathers, it is also a great time to celebrate the work of Jesus Christ in liberating us from the bondage to sin, death, and the grave. Jesus was the greatest liberator to ever walk the earth.

Let Real Freedom Reign image

As we reflect on political freedom, we should also reflect on our liberty in Christ. We must actively seek to rid ourselves from unbelief and the strongholds brought about by flawed thinking. We must dedicate ourselves to applying the Word in our lives so that we can be uninhibited and unrestricted from experiencing the abundant life Jesus intended for us to experience. I pray your goal this month is to “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1.

The Importance of a Quality Relationship

Summer arrives in our lives. This is a time to enjoy good weather and quality time with the ones we love.  Vacations and cook-outs are the kinds of activities we have during the month of June.  I believe this is a prime time to spend some quality time in the presence of God.  It is my firm belief that prayer is the most important spiritual activity anyone can engage in.  The degree and extent to which pray is the measure of your relationship you have with God.  In other words, you are not anymore closer to God than the amount of time you spend in prayer.

I want to strongly encourage you to set aside time to find an elevated place like a mountain and pray. Or what about going to the beach and meditate as you watch the rhythmic waves coming in and retreating to the ocean.  It is great to go places to relax but it is best to go into the secret place of the highest.  Maybe you can’t travel to a faraway place but what about traveling in your spirit to the throne room of God.  June is the month for prayer, and I hope you will make it a time to seek the face of God. I encourage you to meditate on Psalm 91.

Mental Health Awareness

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Never in the history of mankind has there ever been a time when focusing on mental health is so important. Even though we have seen the numbers of those affected by the pandemic decrease substantially, the effect on the mental health of people remains a major concern. The isolation and social distancing have had a major effect on the mental health of people everywhere. We must take special measures to ensure our mental health is not taken lightly.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with addressing mental pain through counseling and therapy. I encourage you to be honest and open about how you feel. We need to remove the stigma associated with mental illness and recognize it is more normal than we want to acknowledge. We must take our mental health seriously and realize the need to manage ourselves in a way where we can maximize our own sense of well-being.

Mental Health Awareness image

Just as we are careful to go see a doctor when we experience physical symptoms, we must also seek help when we experience mental discomfort. I hope we can learn to not be ashamed when we experience mental pain. It would be so wonderful if we could learn to access experts in the mental health field instead of suffering with things in our lives because of what people may think. Whenever you are reading this blog, I want you to know that it’s not too late to get help. It starts with each of us being honest and transparent about our mental health.

Decide to be a part of changing the way we view mental illness so that healing and wholeness can begin to take place in record numbers. Let’s not allow Covid’s impact to continue to be a detriment to our mental health.

My prayer is that you will make your mental health a priority and live healthy lives by accessing God’s Word.

Matthew 4:23, says; And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

It’s Not Too Late For Your Miracle

The Resurrection was a Miracle. It was a historic fact as well as a living reality. Jesus’ getting up was not just something that happened, but it was an event that makes all the difference in the world to us. We are missing the point of Easter if you are only celebrating the fact He got up and NOT celebrating what Him getting up means for you personally.

  • When He got up, He was our sacrifice and paid for our Freedom.
  • He reversed the curse of Adam’s sin and paved the way for our redemption in Christ.
  • When He was crucified, the religious establishment thought they had gotten rid of HIM for good even though HE told them He would rise again.
  • The disciples thought it was all over, too, and assumed He was gone forever because He had been brutally beaten and tortured on the CROSS!!
It's Not Too Late For Your Miracle

It was an unfortunate and tragic END to someone who had done so much good. One of the saddest days the world had ever known. But, on the third day, He was Resurrected! He had arisen from the dead. A Miracle had indeed taken place!

He got up with All Power and Authority! He got up to fulfill the many scriptures that said He would. He got up to complete His earthly ministry. He got up to become Our Lord and Savior! He got up so that we could have life and have it more Abundantly.

  • The Resurrection is a reminder that it is never too late. No matter what has happened in your life. Don’t live a life of Regrets. Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda’s.
  • With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26)
  • No matter how much has gone wrong, God can give you double for your trouble, every breakdown is still a breakthrough, delay does not mean denial, every setback is still a setup!

The past few years have been extremely tough. With COVID we were faced with new challenges, losses, sufferings. The social isolation and the mental strain have left many feeling alienated and lost. Some of you are trying to recover. While others are struggling to get back on your feet.

But on the eve of the greatest COMEBACK known to man, I want to remind you that the miraculous power demonstrated over thousands of years ago is still available today.

Let this be a time to spiritually reconnect. Believe Again, get your trust back, confidence back, Hope back (Expectations)!!!

Just like the Resurrection was a Miracle thousands of years ago; if the truth be told, we need a miracle today!!!

  • That court date is coming up very fast.
  • Bless their hearts, those adult children are driving you out of your wits. They are grown but not gone.
  • Finances are not adding up.
  • Doctors report is real.
  • Job is no longer satisfying.
  • Marriage Vows are questionable.
  • Mentally you are just not in a good place.

Let the Resurrection be a reminder, a model for us of the Miraculous Power of God.

Don’t allow TIME to make you cancel, forfeit, give up, disqualify you from receiving your promise.

The scripture says Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.

He is Still performing Miracles.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters “It’s Not Too Late for Your Miracle”

Have A Blessed Resurrection Sunday!

A Change in Your Season

March is the month when Spring arrives. In the state of Maryland, which has all four seasons, winter is a time when it is cold, and we also can have snow. It is a season when the outward environment is limiting and restrictive.

However, March also ushers in the season of Spring. Spring represents the end of winter and the beginning of time when the weather becomes much more comfortable. Activities that were restrictive during the winter months become possible with the advent of Spring. Just as the seasons change in the natural, seasons change in the Spirit.

A Change in Your Season

This is a time when you are transitioning from testing to a time of fulfillment of the promises. Raise your expectations and relish in the hope that you have survived the season of winter and now you have entered the springtime of blessings. I am so excited about what God is about to do in your life and I look forward to the testimonies many of you will share about God’s miraculous provision. Take my word for it, your latter shall be greater than your former and the best is yet to come!

Love…

I always love the month of February because it is always associated with the concept of love. You have Valentines’ Day where couples express their love for one another through gifts, expressions and cards. I believe love is the most powerful force in the earth. I also believe our greatest need is for love. Nothing has shaped your sense of well-being like how much you have been loved over the course of your life.

Love

When you are loved, there is a power released that goes to the core of your being. Healing is the direct result of love being expressed to you. When I observe the ministry of Jesus in the gospels, it is his love for people and sincere concern for them which was the key to them being healed and delivered. Jesus had a way of letting people know they were valued that translated into them experiencing the power of God.

Our main responsibility to others is to love them. Not because they deserve it or act in a way that warrants it but because God has called us to be spreaders of His love. One of the worst things that could happen to us is that we become somehow affected by things in life and distracted by things going on that we fail to be transmitters of the love of God.

The only explanation for how we are saved is that God loved us. He commended his love toward us while we were yet sinners. Consequently, our greatest purpose is to spread that love to others in everything we do and speak. I pray that this month you will put a special emphasis on being loving and showing those around you the love of Jesus. And just in case you did not know, I love you!

Happy New Year 2023

As we embark on a New Year this is a time when we can be excited and hopeful for what this new year is going to bring. It is almost like we have a fresh start. The new year represents a new opportunity for God to do something great in our lives. The last couple of years have been very trying with the pandemic basically altering life as we had known it before. The social distancing and COVID measures have made it difficult for social interaction. But I really believe this has been a time when God has caused us to draw more from Him and spend more quality time in His presence. Personally, I have grown exponentially because while I had less human interaction, I have had more divine collaboration.

Happy New Year 2023

Somehow the restrictions of COVID have made for a greater emphasis and focus on God Himself. I must say I am closer to God than I have ever been before. His voice is so much clearer, and I so enjoy being in his presence in worship. The other day at Church, I found myself bowing before Him right there at my social distancing seat. I really believe this time of getting closer to God has equipped us for a greater experience in life. That is why I believe 2023 is the year of enhanced and heighten experience with the Lord.

I pray 2023 will be a year unlike any other year because these prior years have positioned you to experience God in his fullness. This has nothing to do with material things or physical progress but everything to do with coming into a level of experiencing God that is satisfying and meaningful. My prayer for you is that you will have life and have it more abundantly. That you will operate with a spiritual mind that gives you fulness of life and peace. Life is living in a reality where your experience is exciting and enjoyable. Peace being a way of being where you operate without turmoil and discomfort. Happy New Year is indeed a happy year because it will be in 2023! Welcome to a new beginning, a major upgrade of life experience!

Remembering at Thanksgiving!

Remember: Be mindful of, recount, still think on. To think again about something. To retain in the memory, remain aware of.

John 10:10 says, the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The enemy is a liar and a deceiver. His strategy is to keep us focused on the wrong things. If he can cloud your perspective of how things really are, he can negatively impact your trust and confidence in God. He wants to weaken your capacity to believe that God is a promise maker and a promise keeper.

Remembering at Thanksgiving!

The value of remembering is it reminds you of how good and faithful God has been. Remembering all the times God blessed you in the past helps you to be certain that He will bless you now. Remembering keeps you properly focused. Remembering helps you maintain your faith stance. Remembering helps you to stand strong and not quit or forfeit the promise.

The enemy’s goal is to bombard your mind so that you do not remember all the great things God has already done. I encourage you to not forget, but to continue to press forward being mindful that if He did it before He will do it again.

As we embark upon the Thanksgiving Season, let’s remember to thank God for all the great and wonderful things He has done!

Peace & Blessings

Breast Cancer Month

October is National Breast Cancer month. I am so grateful that there were people who thought it was necessary to make an emphasis on such a major issue. For too long it was on the back burner because women’s health was not seen as important as men’s health. It is so unfortunate that so much more money is spent on research for diseases that relate to certain groups and not enough emphasis on woman’s health. It is a blessing that finally women’s lives are being valued equally with men. In my lifetime I have seen so many courageous women fight through this disease.

Breast Cancer Month

This month we acknowledge this struggle, and I am so grateful to be a part of the movement to rid the world of this disease. For years my husband and I were a part of the Susan Komen walk run downtown every September. It was always exhilarating to be a part of the thousands of people joining together to work for such a great cause. It is my prayer that very soon, there will be a cure for breast cancer. My daughter Diamond is presently a Biomedical engineer working on her PH. D at Southern California University. She was inspired to enter this field because she saw her grandmothers both afflicted with this disease. I am so proud of her being a part of conducting research to find the cure.

In the meantime, we are praying for all those presently dealing with Breast cancer and trusting God for healing and deliverance. I am wearing my pink and I believe we will obtain the victory over this dreaded disease. I praise God through His word we will overcome In the Name Of Jesus.
